Pneumatics

Pneumatic tire lift trucks (also referred to as Outdoor Pneumatic lift trucks) are so called because they use air-filled tires and operate in environments that have variable conditions (smooth to unfinished ground).  For extreme circumstances, we suggest using a rough terrain or telescopic/ variable reach truck since they will operate easily in muddy or uneven ground environments.  These units are available in propane or diesel models normally, although some dual-fuel machines exist for special circumstances.

Narrow aisle

Reach lift trucks are small trucks designed to operate within the narrow-aisles between racking, shelves or confined spaces in your work environment.  These machines are stand-up, electric-powered units with extendable carriage and forks.  A charger is usually included on rental or sale, but consult your sales representative if these issues are critical (not all units are sold with chargers).

Rough Terrain

Equipment classed as "Rough-Terrain" refer to a group of both standard straight-mast and variable reach trucks.  Our catalogue covers only straight-mast rough-terrain equipment:  those forklifts with standard masts and using rough-terrain tires that can travel on harsh, uneven or softer ground.  You may wish to also browse through our Telescopic range, since variable-reach forklifts are also equipped to operate on these surfaces.

Solid Cushion

Solid-Tire or Cushion Lift Trucks are usually referred to interchangeably to refer to machines using solid rubber or polyurethene tires.  Due to the type of tires, they do not puncture and require less maintenance than pneumatic tire machines.  Manufacturers' designs provide some cushioning features, but normally these have less shock absorption than pneumatic tire forklifts.

Electric Solid Cushion

Electric Solid-Cushion lift trucks are similar to standard Cushion trucks, except that they normally operate using 24-, 36- or 48-Volt Batteries.  A charger is usually included on rental or sale, but consult your sales representative if these issues are critical (not all units are sold with chargers). Give us a call for inquiries about batteries and chargers.

Telescopic

Whether referred to as "Zoom Booms", boom-trucks, telehandlers, or variable-reach forklifts, telescopic lift trucks are versatile equipment used to provide the reach and maneuverability in rough environments.  Telehandlers have an extendable boom that can be extended to lift your loads, and come with a variety of attachments to assist efficient and safe operation in construction and agricultural environments.
